SEWER RATES

Effective Date:  September 23, 2007

Locality Where Applicable

The following rates and charges are applicable to customers located in areas within Gem Utilities, Inc.'s Certificate of Territorial Authority area in Hancock County and who connect to the Utility's System.

General Service Rate

(A) Non-Metered Rates for One month Consumption Periods - Residential

(B) Non-Metered Rates for One Month Consumption Periods - All Non-Residential Users Discharging Less Than or Equal to 620 Gallons per day

High consumption facilities, which discharge more than 620 gallons per day of wastewater, will be categorized   as "Special Users" as indicated below.

(C) Non-Metered Rates for One Month Consumption Periods - Special Users

Special User - high consumption facilities which discharge more than 620 gallons per day of wastewater shall be charged at the rate 
per Equivalent Dwelling Unit ("EDU"), as defined in Exhibit 1 attached hereto, per month.

Initial Connection Fee

The fee per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (as defined in Exhibit 1 attached hereto) for connecting to the Utility's system shall be $400.00. The connection fee for a Multi-Family dwelling shall be $1,000.00 per building.

Re-Connection Fee

The fee per physical connection for reconnection following disconnection for failure to pay a sewer bill shall be the actual cost incurred by the Utility in making the disconnection and reconnection.

Collection and Deferred Payment Charge

All bills for sewer service not paid within 17 days from the billing date thereof, as stated in such bills, shall be subject to a collection or deferred payment charge of 10% on the first $3.00 and 3% on the excess over $3.00.

Metered Charge

In the event metered charges are to be calculated, the rate shall be .006224 cents per gallon.

Application and Plan Review Fee

The application and plan review fee for each request for an extension of sewer mains shall be $100.00 per Equivalent Dwelling  Unit.
